It's rare for a wine to receive a perfect score from two independent critics simultaneously. With the 2022 Lafite, that's exactly what happened: both Robert Parker's Wine Advocate and James Suckling awarded 100 points. What makes this Lafite so extraordinary?

It begins with the blend: 94% Cabernet Sauvignon forms the backbone, enhanced by 5% Merlot for roundness and 1% Petit Verdot for depth. That's an unusually high Cabernet percentage, even for Lafite, and it gives this wine a laser-sharp focus.

The 2022 was a warm vintage in Bordeaux, but at Lafite this didn't translate into heaviness. Quite the opposite: the wine dances. Black currant and graphite aromas are framed by violets, cedarwood, and a whisper of orange zest. On the palate you feel that signature Lafite elegance: silky, concentrated, with a finish that echoes for minutes.
